South Carolina and Georgia Now Honor Each Other

It has been a number of years that residents of Georgia who possess a Georgia Weapons CarryLicense, were unable to travel South Carolina armed because South Carolina did not honor the Georgia Weapons Carry license.  That has changed.  Both states now now have reciprocity with each other.  April 2016 was when Govenor Haley signed the bill that gave Georgia reciprocity with South Carolina.  The primary reason was that they touch each others boarders.  Georgia does not mandate any training to their residents who apply for a Georgia Weapons License.  That was one sticking point in not providing reciprocity in the past.  The NRA endorsed bill left this out, and only concentrated on the close distance between South Carolina and Georgia.
